Founded in 2012 and launched in San Francisco, Instacart is an order fulfillment platform that connects customers, stores and shoppers. It provides a marketplace for customers to order items from retailers that have partnered with Instacart and have their products listed on the Instacart app or website. Instacart works with its network of stores and shoppers to shop for and if requested deliver the items at the customers convenience.
